For the dog owners out there who were never able to teach their dogs to fetch a beer for them, here’s the next best thing. Although the Bark4Beer Collar won’t get you an actual beer, you’ll definitely know where a bottle opener is when you need one because it will be attached to the dog’s collar. Basically, the Bark4Beer Collar is a retractable bottle opener built within. While this may be impractical in some situations, it’s neat to have and it might actually come in handy.

LÜM-TEC, our favorite underdog watch co, still has the 2009 B2 Combat($800) available. This watch hits all of the points that collectors look for, and it’s well under $1K. It’s 43mm which is beefy but not ridiculous, sports an automatic movement, protected by a sapphire crystal, has a threaded case back, illuminated hands (LÜM-TEC’s signature), and a limited run of only 150 pieces (each piece is numbered). The really cool thing about LÜM-TEC is the fact that they publicly display their designs and allow for suggestions and input from customers. Right now you can jump on their forum and help design the 2010 models.
5.5 Designers brings you the Hennessy Eternal Ice Drop. Simply put, they want you to be able to enjoy your Hennessy on the rocks without watering down your cognac. As an on the rocks drinker ourselves, we can appreciate something like this. Although another solution to this would be to slam the drink so the ice cubes don’t water your drink down but thats another story. The Hennessy Eternal Ice Drop is a clear glass chiller filled with water that’ll stay ice cold when you take it out of your freezer. As the drink cools over time, the action of the cold tends to break some aromas of cognac. Pretty simple, but practical? Not so much. This will be available in in stores in April 2010.
Anything wireless gets a thumbs up in our book. Belkin has just introduced one of the easiest ways to stream music from your computer or iPhone/iPod to an existing stereo. The Belkin Bluetooth Music Receiver is a small pod that connects to your stereo via either RCA or 3.55mm inputs. You can pair up to six Bluetooth-enabled devices to play through your stereo up to 33 feet away. Awesome.
The Pocket Shark($7) by ColdSteel.com looks to be a pretty tough little, and we use the word lightly, marker. As we previewed earlier, the Pocket Shark is a self defense tool that can be used as a yawara stick in a pinch. Currently being reviewed by The Guiness Book of World Records, The Torch is currently the world’s brightest and most powerful flashlight. Powered by 4100 lumens of illumination, the Torch is capable of generating enough heat to melt plastic, scramble eggs, light matches, roast marshmallows and anything else susceptible to extreme heat. Seriously, this is not a joke. This thing can definitely blind you so don’t be a dummy and try staring into the light to test it out. The Torch is even encased in aerospace grade aluminum and uses a specialized heat resistant glass lens. The only downside is that its quite expensive and the rechargeable battery only lasts 15 minutes so if you do get this, be sure to get an extra battery. Otherwise we don’t think you’ll be disappointed with its performance.
For the smokers out there, we know you go to great extents to have a drag even when its freezing outside. So here’s a simple solution from Tobias Wong that helps keep your hands warm, a mitten with a metal eyelet to perfectly fit your cigarette. So if you can’t kick the habit, at least your hands will stay warm.
