APL Concept 1 Black Basketball Shoes

black_pair_shoe-sole

The APL Concept 1 Shoes weigh only 15 ounces and are made from space-age materials, including a patent pending Load N’ Launch technology which is designed to provide an “instant” improvement in vertical leap. Now we don’t actually know if the instant boost in your vertical is true or if it makes a significant difference , but the shoes do look sweet and if the boost is true, even better. So basically this device along with high performance materials such as microfiber mesh and special anti-microbial lining, make these kicks unique from the rest on the market.

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX

2011_Subaru_WRX_20100326

The 2011 WRX is back with an aggressive look that makes the 2010 model look like a Toyota Corolla. The widened stance, fender flares and new front end have given this car the looks it deserves. Specs have also been bumped up to put out 265 all wheel horsepower. In addition wider tires have been installed to give the car better grip in tight cornering situations. We were considering getting the Audi A3 as our next ride, but this Subie is making us think twice.

Casio G-Shock GWM5600-1

Casio_GShock_GWM5600_20100325

As about 95% of our readers know, we’re watch fanatics. Typically we post gimmicky or luxurious watches that are mainly about craftsmanship and looks, but today we’re going for solid functionality. G-Shocks are synonymous with durability and function, so we wanted to shed a little light on the solar powered GWM5600-1 (no pun intended… Seriously). With G-Shocks even the model name screams functionality. This beefy time computer can handle depths of up to 200M, hold 8 months of battery life without being exposed to light, sets itself atomically, operates in all time zones, and has the usual set of features seen on typical G-Shocks. The more we look at this piece of utility the sexier it gets. Must. Put. Wallet. Away.

The folks over at RAGGEDedge Gear use cutting edge fiber technology originally designed for aerospace, military, and industrial applications to bring us every day gear such as these wallets. If you didn’t already know, Kevlar and Technora are part of the Aramid family which is commonly used for body armor and flame resistant clothing. We don’t suggest you attempt to test this theory on the wallet, however it does make these wallets strong, water proof, lightweight and resistant to stains.

HTC EVO The 4G Phone. Coming to Sprint.

HTC_EVO_20100324

Sprint with all of their 4G big talk is finally going to release a phone that’s capable of using their WiMAX network. This is actually the first 4G phone to be announced in the U.S. The specs on this thing are actually ridiculous too making it the highest spec’d phone ever announced as well. Coming in with a 4.3″ 480×800 resolution screen, 1GHz snap dragon processor, 8.0MP camera capable of 720P video recording, HDMI output (via adapter) to play HD movies right on your T.V., 512MB of RAM, and Android 2.1 running HTC’s SenseUI. This phone should be named the beast. The beast can also act as a 4G WiFi hotspot for up to six devices (iPhones included). It will be available this summer and it looks like Sprint just got cool. Don’t expect this to be moving to Verizon because it’s got a CDMA radio, the 4G on Sprint is different than Verizon. Sprint uses WiMAX and big red uses LTE.

The Warrior Dash

Warrior_Dash_20100322

Very rarely are events held that cater to runners, adrenaline junkies, and beer drinkers alike. The Warrior Dash is here to change that. The Warrior Dash is a wet, dirty and semi dangerous run through a series of obstacles that test your agility and endurance over approximately 3 miles. Some of the obstacles include storming a junk yard, trudging through tumbleweed fields, and hurdling over fire. Included in the run is a free beer when you cross the finish line, a shirt, a warrior helmet, a medal, and a party with live music afterward. The cool part about the Warrior Dash is that it’s for a cause. Depending on your region a different charity is given a portion of the entry fee. With nine locations spread around the U.S. you should have your chance to participate. We’ll definitely be at the SoCal Dash, so see you there.
