One of the few items that you should always have is a wallet or some form of accessory to carry your cash money. If you don’t, that’s just sloppy. One of our biggest pet peeves is a bulky wallet. The people of Bellroy have the right idea. “Rather than bulging pockets and broken cards, we aim to give you clean lines, minimal bulk, old school craft and even a little protection for your cards.” The Hide & Seek Wallet is especially sweet because it has all traditional features for your cash and cards but also a hidden note compartment for discrete storage of your Benji’s or whatever else you can think of.

For those willing to pay $100 + dollars, Bose is rolling out a trio of headphones that will make your decision that much harder to choose to from. Its understandable since phones and music players are now basically inseparable. The IE2 has been engineered for portable media players while the MIE2 and MIE2i are both designed to handle calls and tunes. The trio will all feature Bose’s proprietary TriPort acoustic headphone structure and StayHear tips that will supposedly stay lodged regardless of activity. Both the IE2 and MIE2 will be available this month while the Apple-specific MIE2i will be out sometime in October for $130. From experience, Bose might be more on the expensive side but their products are well worth it.

There are all kinds of eye drops out there for people with contact lenses but none are truly like Rohto Zi Contact. These drops have a menthol feeling when they hit your eyes that both burns and refreshes. They also do a fantastic job at waking you up when you start to doze during that long meeting at work, and they whiten your dry eyes. These babies were really hard to track down, in fact we had to have a friend contact someone directly in Japan to get them. We however, did find them for purchase on the web and wanted to pass it on to you guys.

Drinking and driving is obviously a bad idea, but drinking and biking on the other hand is actually pretty fun. Forgetting the beer opener always presents a problem so the The Road Popper solves this: it’s a bike mounted bottle opener, discretely tucked away under your seat to preserve your bike’s aesthetic. Simple as that.

Do you download a lot of stuff that may or may not be legitimate? Music, Movies, Games, TV Shows, and Software aren’t always easy to snag from your favorite torrent sites, so what are you to do? Check out news groups. First things first. News groups are not free. You need to pay to have a usenet provider and an optional usenet search membership. This costs about $12 a month. If you’re the type that eats up entire dvd iso images, albums, and software then this is a drop in the bucket. Did we mention speed? Because you’re paying for a usenet provider that means you don’t have to hope a peer will allow you to leech. You get direct downloads. To put it into perspective on a standard FIOS connection a complete album takes about 25 seconds to download. Hit the jump to read up on how to get in on the action.

In order to get started you will need three things:
1. A Usenet provider, we use SuperNews ($10/month)
2. A Usenet search engine, we use Newzbin (~$2/month) and nzbs ($FREE)
3. A Usenet client, we use SABnzbd ($FREE)

First purchase a membership from the Usenet provider, then download and install SABnzbd. SABnzbd is a Usenet client that takes care of accessing the Usenet server, downloading, and unpackaging your items. The great thing about SABnzbd is that it’s web based so it doesn’t matter if you’re running Mac, PC, or Linux and it’s a snap to setup with the web based configuration tool. Now that you have a provider and client installed it’s time to start downloading. Hit up your favorite Usenet search site, pick what you want and download the nzb file. If you setup SABnzbd correctly the download will start automatically. Once it’s done downloading all of the pieces SABnzbd combines, decompresses and places your new goods in a complete folder when you can use it. It sounds confusing at first, but once you go news group you’re going to wonder why it took so long to make the switch.

We’re rocking our new Droid X and love it’s beastly size, but we definitely had concerns about protecting all of that screen real estate. The solution? Meet the Steinheil Ultra Crystal Screen Protector. Unlike the stock Verizon screen protector this one covers the entire face of the Droid X not just the visible screen. It’s got a hard surface coating to protect from stratches, anti-UV, bubble free installation, and truly is crystal clear. Installation was a snap with the included micro fiber cloth, dust grabbing stickers, and squeegee. If you’re like us and just toss your phone into your pocket then you need to protect your most import asset. Each package comes with two protectors and they’re available for other devices as well.

Many of us are starting to use our computers more and more to consume music, movies, and even television. The problem with this picture is that not all of us have massive monitors and stereo systems to really enjoy all of this wonderful content. XBMC is media center software that is easy to use, fully customizable, and works on virtually any computer platform. The best part about XBMC? It’s absolutely free. Now you’re probably wondering “That’s nice, how do I get it on my TV?” Well the folks over at LifeHacker wrote up a nice little guide to build a silent and miniscule dedicated media center for about $200. You can read the guide here. Another cool feature with XBMC is that you can even set it up as a video game emulator to play all of those classic ROMs you have floating around your computer.
