Designed by Hong Kong based student Cheuk Kee Lai, the watch will be manufactured under SDWorks banner. There is no pricing yet but the online store is supposed to go up soon. It will be available in a variety of cases, namely black, brushed stainless steel or gold plated.

Void V02BL Watch

Void_V02BL_20091125

Void watches have just introduced the new V02BL($200) wristwatch. The V02BL basically takes how you normally read analog watches and throws it right out the window. Created with a half dial double handed twist the V02BL is definitely unique. Rather than the hands flying back when they reach the end there are a separate set of hands that are concealed on the top half of the dial. Once the hand comes off of the left edge the new hand creeps in from the right side. Reading this is actually quite simple. The red hand denotes minutes while the white hand denotes hours. Void managed to put a new twist on this retro dashboard design. The V02BL is also made in steel gray, polished, and gold.

MK2 Circuit Watch by Storm London

mk_2_circuit_20091116

The MK2 Circuit($220) by Storm London is a futuristic looking piece that isn’t as difficult to decipher as a typical Tokyo Flash. With two red vertical LED bars, reading is pretty self explanatory. The left numbered bar indicates the current hour while the right bar is split in half to show minutes. The top half being 10s of minutes and the bottom half 1s of minutes. Hats off to Storm London for producing an LED watch that both looks good and doesn’t take a computer science degree to understand.
