Bark4Beer Collar

bark4beer

For the dog owners out there who were never able to teach their dogs to fetch a beer for them, here’s the next best thing. Although the Bark4Beer Collar won’t get you an actual beer, you’ll definitely know where a bottle opener is when you need one because it will be attached to the dog’s collar. Basically, the Bark4Beer Collar is a retractable bottle opener built within. While this may be impractical in some situations, it’s neat to have and it might actually come in handy.

Hennessy Eternal Ice Drop by 5.5 Designers

ice1

5.5 Designers brings you the Hennessy Eternal Ice Drop. Simply put, they want you to be able to enjoy your Hennessy on the rocks without watering down your cognac. As an on the rocks drinker ourselves, we can appreciate something like this. Although another solution to this would be to slam the drink so the ice cubes don’t water your drink down but thats another story. The Hennessy Eternal Ice Drop is a clear glass chiller filled with water that’ll stay ice cold when you take it out of your freezer. As the drink cools over time, the action of the cold tends to break some aromas of cognac. Pretty simple, but practical? Not so much. This will be available in in stores in April 2010.

Authentic French Absinthe Fountain Set

absinthe

Imported from France, this is the authentic absinthe fountain set. The fountain is handmade from mouth-blown glass and plated brass, and the set includes four 12-oz. absinthe glasses and four stainless steel spoons with machine-tooled perforations. The set is the same one used in La Louche, an ubiquitous ritual performed at French absinthe cafés in the 19th-century. Ice water is slowly released from the fountain over a sugar cube that is held by the slotted spoon as it rests atop the absinthe-filled glass. As the water drips from the spigot, it dissolves the sugar into the absinthe, creating the milky, iridescent cocktail favored by Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso. The absinthe fountain has four metal spigots that open independently, the glass bowl holds nine cups of ice water, and the four mouth-blown glasses have doser marks for measuring the correct amount of absinthe. And in case you guys didn’t know, the U.S. does have producers of real absinthe: Lucid, Kubler(exact same recipe as the European version), La Fee(same exact formula as European version) La Clandestine(same as European formula) and countless others comming or are already here. Mmhhh yummy.
