Very rarely are events held that cater to runners, adrenaline junkies, and beer drinkers alike. The Warrior Dash is here to change that. The Warrior Dash is a wet, dirty and semi dangerous run through a series of obstacles that test your agility and endurance over approximately 3 miles. Some of the obstacles include storming a junk yard, trudging through tumbleweed fields, and hurdling over fire. Included in the run is a free beer when you cross the finish line, a shirt, a warrior helmet, a medal, and a party with live music afterward. The cool part about the Warrior Dash is that it’s for a cause. Depending on your region a different charity is given a portion of the entry fee. With nine locations spread around the U.S. you should have your chance to participate. We’ll definitely be at the SoCal Dash, so see you there.
Google has released a new direction platform on its Google Maps service, this time for street-minded cyclists. Google Maps for Bikes provides directions for bike travel, based on bike-only paths, roads with dedicated bike lanes and other bike-friendly streets. The system determines the fastest, most bike-friendly path from point A to point B in over 150 cities across the United States. This innovative and advanced personal aircraft falls under the FAA’s Ultralight classification so a pilots license is not required, sweet right? Although you do have to pass their own training program before hand. And just in case anything may happen to you mid air, the Jet Pack features a built-in ballistic parachute so that’s just one less thing to worry about. Forget the Lambos and Ferraris, If you have the loot, imagine arriving at a club in one of these, ha ha.
