We never thought we’d want to do anything else in Vegas besides…well we’ll just keep that between Vegas and us. Anyway, back to the point. Not far from the strip lies the quiet desert resting place of the city’s neon history. The Las Vegas Neon Museum and its Neon Boneyard are home to more than 150 signs collected for preservation so that we can enjoy the unique story about who created them, what inspired them, where and when they were made and how they were all a part of the development of Las Vegas and its rich history. The Boneyard itself is “home to some of the most treasured and world-famous signs of Las Vegas—Caesars Palace, Binions Horsehoe, Golden Nugget, Silver Slipper, and, most recently the Stardust”. Hey, we wouldn’t mind a little history lesson about our favorite play ground, ever. Oh yeah, if you plan on visiting this place, they only accept advance appointments from Tuesday – Saturday as they often sell out.
