XBMC Media Center Software

Many of us are starting to use our computers more and more to consume music, movies, and even television. The problem with this picture is that not all of us have massive monitors and stereo systems to really enjoy all of this wonderful content. XBMC is media center software that is easy to use, fully customizable, and works on virtually any computer platform. The best part about XBMC? It’s absolutely free. Now you’re probably wondering “That’s nice, how do I get it on my TV?” Well the folks over at LifeHacker wrote up a nice little guide to build a silent and miniscule dedicated media center for about $200. Na’Vi Pocket Guide – Learn the language in Avatar

Alright you crazy Avatar freaks, hold on to your braided tails because now you can learn how to speak Na’vi just like the natives. Like o.m.g. Yes this is real, the USC professor Paul Frommer created the language spoken by the fictional indigenous race (the Na’vi) specifically for James Cameron’s Avatar film. It’s a bit creepy but hey, maybe some chicks will dig it.

Included are two interactive featurettes that allow users to remix four scenes in the movie and “Insomniac Mode: I’m Jack’s Search Index” that lets users search through the extensive bonus material. Director David Fincher inserted his own trick to help resurrect project mayhem. The title screen on the disc leads viewers to believe they are watching the chick flick “Never Been Kissed”. Pretty clever.

The Usual Suspects on Blu-ray (1995)


The Usual Suspects($10) easily fits in the top five of any guys movie collection. If you haven’t had the time to see this film, make some. The story begins with five felons being brought in for questioning regarding a robbery that took place in New York. The story unfolds as Verbal Kint (Kevin Spacey) narrates the group’s adventure to a US customs agent in California. We don’t want to introduce any spoilers so just take our word for it, this is a great movie. Loaded with comedy, action, suspense, and tons of quotable lines this is a must have.
Oldboy Movie from Park Chan-wook


There is no way we can do the film justice by attempting to explain what its about in words. Without spoiling this intense film, the plot if based around Oh Dae Sau, a man who has was captured and locked up for 15 years for an unknown reason and then released just as mysteriously. When he’s finally released, he finds himself still trapped in a web of conspiracy and strangeness as he has five days to discover the reason for his captivity and his captor. If you want to watch a riveting and bizarre thriller that will mind F**k you, this is it. Revenge is a bitch.
